Current planned release date for JAKE AND THE DYNAMO Volume 1: The Wattage of Justice is June 15th! I’m still waiting for the cover art, and you will be the first to know as soon as I’ve seen it.
Meanwhile, Roffles Lowell, the creator of the interior art, has given us this spectacular picture of Pretty Dynamo carrying Jake through her battle with the kaiju Bigassica.

I find myself still slowly gathering volumes of Saint Tail, and it won’t be long now until I’ve finished the manga, though the anime still eludes me. I thought some Saint Tail art would be appropriate.
And on another note, Roffles Lowell, the official illustrator for Jake and the Dynamo, sent along this little sketch after I announced that the book was set to release on June 1st.
I believe that’s a picture of Dana having finally conquered Chelsea in Magical Girl Rumble.

A reader asked if he could use my face as the basis for a character in the cover art of some fan fiction. I told him I don’t think it’s actually necessary to ask permission for that kind of thing or political cartoonists would always be getting sued.
The story for which this image was created does not appear to have been posted yet.
Anyway, that is apparently an image of me as a Catholic priest holding up a DVD set of the original 1980s My Little Pony. Sounds legit.
I notice I’m holding up the complete season 1 released from Rhino in 2004, which is no longer available, but has been supplanted by the 2014 complete series box set from Shout! Factory, which also includes season 2 and is still in print.

I’m copping out on the posting for today because I’m struggling to rewrite sections of Jake and the Dynamo. But things are still coming along.
Also, when I’m not doing that, I’m sometimes working my way through LoliRock, so we can say we hit all the French magical girl cartoons over here.

He sends along this image of Magical Girl Pretty Dynamo completing her transformation sequence, and he invited me to post it, since he has a different picture intended for the book itself.
Meanwhile, I’m hard at work making the changes recommended to me by L. Jagi Lamplighter. I have a window of one week before I’m back at school, and I hope to get it finalized in that time.

Whew. What a week. I think the worst of it is behind me for now, so there should be some new content in the near future.
